How do I create a user in Can Do?
How can a resource and a user be created in Can Do? What is the difference between a user and a resource?
A new resource and a new user can be created via the "Manage Resources" tile.
Click the tile and then select the option to create a new resource. Enter the basic and login information in three steps.
1. In the first step, enter "General Information" such as first and last name, as well as the department or team.
2. Under "Employment Data," define the resource’s availability and role.
3. In the final step, define the "Login Information" and select the type of license. The new user will be notified by email and prompted to set their password.
In Can Do, it is also possible to create resources that are not users, i.e., they do not have a license. In the organizational tree, these can be identified by the absence of the "person" icon.
If you want to convert a resource into a user at a later time, go to the "Manage Resources" tile and use the "Edit Existing Resource" option. Click the "Set Login Credentials" icon and define the login information and license.
Afterwards, you can optionally assign the user to a user group using the "User Groups" icon.
