Top-down planning

In Can Do, resources, departments and skills can also be planned for projects and phases. Often, detailed planning of work packages across the entire project is not carried out, but rather strategic planning based on phases. When the project is up and running, detailed planning is carried out at work package level. The department in the phase is therefore “blocked” in the long term. If individual people were then planned for packages during the phase, the department would be charged twice. The “Deductible” indicator is simply set on the phase. As soon as a person is planned in the phase, Can Do recognizes that his department is blocked and automatically deducts the workload. In this way, the blocked expenses for the department are gradually replaced by detailed planning at person level. There is no double planning.
