How Does the Can Do Licensing Model Work?

Licenses can be purchased on either a monthly or annual basis. Customers benefit from a price advantage when choosing annual billing compared to a monthly subscription. Current pricing for all license types and add-on modules can be found on our website at https://www.can-do.de/en/pricing.

License fees already include technical operations, maintenance, and all available software updates. By default, Can Do is operated in the AWS Cloud within the European Union on C5-certified data centers located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Alternatively, Can Do can also be deployed in a customer's own data center or within a private cloud environment.

Can Do offers three standard license types designed to support different roles and responsibilities within an organization. This ensures that each user has access to exactly the functionality required for their daily work.

The license types differ in terms of available functionality and intended use:

• Manager License for users who plan and manage projects, resources, or portfolios.
• Resource License for employees who work on project tasks, record time, and maintain their availability.
• Read-Only License for stakeholders, executives, or external parties who need visibility into project information without making changes.

In addition, optional extensions such as Can Do Base Foundation and Can Do BI are available to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence requirements.

 

1. Manager License

The Manager License provides full access to all Can Do functionality (excluding Can Do BI). It is intended for users who actively plan, manage, and are responsible for projects, resources, or portfolios.

Can Do Base Foundation

Can Do Base Foundation is the most commonly used extension for organizations that want to process Can Do data in their own reporting and business intelligence solutions.

It provides the complete Can Do data model through standardized and automatically updated data tables and can be used with leading BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
