| Resource planning | Virtual resources can be allocated with a preferred resource. Rather than merely requesting a department for a certain amount of effort, the project manager can specify a desired resource from that department for their project. When assigning preferred resources, it may happen that these have a different cost rate than the department (virtual resource) has listed. To ensure accurate cost calculation from the beginning, a server setting allows for the direct application of the preferred resource's cost rate.
